CAFE
pop-up cafe
We were approached to design a pop-up cafe for the annual Sydney festival located in the infamous Carriageworks. We created an entire concept including pop-up design, food offerings, and a retail concept.
Throughout this project, we were challenged to design a pop-up cafe that utilised sustainable and eco-conscious materials with a focus on where each material will be used after deconstruction.
We were constrained to a small area and were given creative freedom to explore our concept. Let’s explore.
one.
We explored the use of curves, the juxtaposition between soft fabric and concrete that appeared soft and moldable, and a colour palette that felt raw and earrthy.
We selected each material with a considered approach and ensured that all items were sourced from ethical and sustainable suppliers.

Our retail design was centred around wellness. With a focus on skin and overall health we partnered with a local Australian skincare brand to curate a brand new line.

Inspiration was drawn from pearlescent sea shells, and the milky space landscape.

A pop-up cafe design centred around the concept of exploration. Our vision was to create a sense of wonder and excitement as visitors wandered through our cafe. The end design resulted in a space that was both aesthetic and functional.
